The sweeping pageantry and heart-pumping action on stage transports audiences to medieval times of 13th century England for the inspiring tale of the legendary hero, Robin Hood. An original script written and directed by Stacey April Fix, opens on Dec. 7th thru Dec. 9th. A story of courage, friendship and loyalty set in medieval Sherwood Forest amongst towering castle walls on stage at the Newbury Elementary School. Nottingham's expansive scale and exhilarating action is highlighted by dramatic costumes, spirited dances, and theatrical production elements. The show is performed by a student cast of 86 from grades 2-6 as well as a dozen middle and high school student alumni working behind the scenes. If you've think you've seen Robin Hood, think again! This production is full of unexpected twists in plot and characters. The impetuous Robin and his band of Merry Men find friendship from most surprising sources to help free them and the people of Nottingham from the injustice and tyranny of Prince John and the Sherriff of Nottingham.
